Wednesday night at Accor Stadium, it’s State of Origin Game 1 with the Blues playing home team against the Maroons at Accor Stadium.

With new coach Michael Maguire at the helm, NSW is looking to break their drought and reclaim the shield. The Blues have thrown in a bunch of fresh faces, hoping a shake-up will turn the tide.

Queensland, under Billy Slater, has been as consistent as a metronome, winning the last two series. Despite missing Cameron Munster, they’ve got Tom Dearden stepping in, and Jaydn Su’A making waves in the lineup.

The Blues, though, are hit with injuries, swapping Dylan Edwards with veteran James Tedesco at the last minute.
