Sha Tin racecourse is the host for Sunday racing, with some competitive racing on both the turf and the dirt. On the dirt, the rail doesn’t move from the set position whereas we have the rail in the A+3 position on the turf.
It’s been a mixed start to the season so far, but we have been lucky enough to profit on both days with our best bet saluting.
Today’s Sha Tin racing tips can be found below,

Race 1: #3 FAMILY JEWEL

Race 4 #4 SO AWESOME

Distance: 1600m | Class: Class 4 | Exp Tempo: Below Avg
FAMILY JEWEL was super unlucky last weekend, and had absolutely no where to go. Horses early in the season generally back up well as they have a fitness edge on their rivals.
Bowman jumps aboard from a lovely gate, and he will have the task to navigate him to victory.
PERFECT PAIRING looks solid value at $34.00 for a horse that has rated well despite going down in some unlucky circumstances and he gets a class drop.
MISTER DAPPER has the credentials to run well.

This is not a race I really want to bet into.
CHATEAU LE PECHE has the potential to give this race a shake after finishing midfield over his last two runs last season.
Despite being winless in his career, this is his first drop back to Class 5, and he has previously rated well enough to be competitive.
THE KHAN dropped back to Class 5 at the end of last season, after displaying some promise early in his career.
He drops 3.5kg from his last start fourth and gets Bowman for the first time.
HO HO STAR has copped the Purton tax big time, can’t have him that short.
Numbers: 3 – 8 – 12 – 1

Distance: 1200m | Class: Class 4 | Exp Tempo: Above Avg
SUPER INFINITY holds the key here with Purton aboard, but he has come up super short.
He had run well last season without winning, finishing in the top 4 on three occasions. This time in, he has trialled twice with Purton aboard, and I am expecting him to be quite forward here.
A nice draw and map will aide his endeavours.
EXUBERANT will be quite forward from the Danny Shum yard, and the drop back in grade does look a nice move, with a nice draw.
The issue is, he is more familiar with Happy Valley, but you are getting a price to find out if he can tackle Sha Tin at this point of his career.

Another Class 5 makes it hard to bet on, but SO AWESOME looks to have come up a nice price.
Three and four starts back he wasn’t far off winning a Class 4 at Happy Valley, which is helped by his positive running style.
He has drawn beautifully here, drops back to Class 5, and comes to Sha Tin for the first time in a while, yet 2 of his 3 wins have been at this track and distance.
CIRCUIT BLAZING is a class dropper for the first time and gets the best draw he has ever had (he has drawn nothing shorter than barrier 11 in four starts).
Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 7

I really like AEROINVINCIBLE here, best of the afternoon.
This bloke has finished nicely behind the likes of VOYAGE SAMURAI in Class 3 and LOYAL BO BO whilst also winning a Class 4 nicely last preparation.
He drops back to Class 4, gets a lovely draw, maps beautifully and gets Purton aboard. This sets up perfectly after two nice trials.
ONLY U and HANDSOME BOMB look to be very competitive again.

This is first of the two All-Weather races this afternoon, and I have rated this $6.00 the field, so I am not keen here.
AMAZING FUN is the on topper following his nice win up the Sha Tin straight last preparation. His trials in the past on dirt have looked good enough and he indicates that he will handle 1200m.
SONIC BOOM finished last season off with a win on the dirt, albeit in Class 5. Low weight and a nice draw sees him being somewhat competitive.
CRAZY TREASURE is the horse that should have won one by now, and a win wouldn’t surprise.

LUCKY IMPACT finished his only career start off well last season, finishing one length off PARTERRE over the 1200m.
He rated well enough off that run and was well backed by the market. The step up to 1400m looks to suit and a nice draw with Karis Teetan aboard will do him a world of good.
MISSION VOICE is the other I don’t mind in this race who finally won a race at start seven, over the 1600m in his last start of the season.
His recent trials have been good though the drop back to 1400m is a query.
Numbers: 6 – 5 – 9 – 8
RACE 8
6:35pm
Distance: 1200m | Class: Class 3 | Exp Tempo: Above Avg
This is a wide open race on the dirt, and there are no edges here, the market looks pretty spot on.
PACKING BOLE is back on the dirt, where he does his best work and gets a lovely draw and map. He should be pretty forward being from the Danny Shum yard and with three trials under his belt.
SUPER WIN DRAGON is another who likes the dirt and has a nice draw.
Numbers: 3 – 6 – 5 – 4
7:10pm
Distance: 1000m | Class: Class 3 | Exp Tempo: Above Avg
This is a wide open race, and you could pick half the field and still miss.
SAVVY BRILLIANT who was formally known as GALLAROO in Australia makes his HK debut following three pretty impressive trials.
Purton was on for his third trial and sticks with him on game day, and they have drawn beautifully. You get a nice price to find out how he matches up.
The other with a nice price is CARROLL STREET who is dropping back to Class 3 for the first time since 2022.
He has been running around some of the better sprinters in Hong Kong, and the last time he was at this track and distance, he finished third behind NERVOUS WITNESS and 0.25L off INVINCIBLE SAGE.
He has placed 11/13 over this track and distance, expect another big run.
Numbers: 11 – 1 – 7 – 6

Distance: 1400m | Class: Class 3 | Exp Tempo: Above Avg
I don’t like this race one bit.
THE HEIR goes on top as the preparation before last, he showed how consistent he can be. His last preparation was a bit of a mess but finished nicely to round out the season.
He gets a nice draw to be competitive here.
SWEET ENCOUNTER has drawn well back in grade, but I suspect he will need a run or two.
