Randwick racecourse plays host to racing in Sydney this weekend, with the running of the 7+ Sport Stakes worth $1 million, supported by the Group 2 Tea Rose Stakes, Group 2 The Shorts, Group 3 Bill Ritchie and the Group 3 Kingston Town.
The rail is in the true for the entire circuit and the weather is looking beautiful this weekend, so that track will be a fast Good 4.

I don’t like this race at all.
FLYING BANDIT didn’t run a bad race at Hawkesbury first-up and he will appreciate the 1600m on a track like Randwick.
RUSH ATTACK has had some nice recent form over the mile, the draw does seem to be a query with him.

Fairly confident this is a two-horse race should things pan out the way they are supposed to, what am I kidding, it’s horse racing, things never are that plain and simple.
KREON was a dominant winner over the 1000m at Goulburn last start, winning by 5.5L in a brilliant front running display. The start prior, he started $3.70 in a Class 2 Highway, where he finished well back in seventh, but he was found to have a poor recovery.
He has a great draw and maps beautifully for this one.
PERENNIAL is the only other logical selection, but he is first-up and will have to carry 60kg against KREON’s 56kg, whilst trying to chase him down.

Interesting mile race this, and there looks to be some value.
MISS YOU ELLA gets a lovely set up here from the draw and I love the step up in grade, which drops her down to 53kg.
She has run well over the Randwick mile over her last three occasions and should be holding her fitness well going into her sixth run this preparation.
GALERON ran tremendously well behind MAJOR BEEL last start, in a much harder race than this. He will only carry 0.5kg more than his last start effort in BM94, with the 3kg claim of Zac Waddick.

Dislike this race.
PURE ALPHA goes on top after buckling under pressure when up in grade last start.
The drop back the 1400m and back into BM 78 grade will see him get a more comfortable weight from a decent draw.
There is no reason why SIR ARTIE can’t go close again at each way odds also.

Two horse race in my opinion between CEOWULF and ELIYASS.
ELIYASS gets the nod, because what you see if what you get. 10 career starts for 8 wins and 2 seconds is not something to take lightly and he has the ability to be ridden with intent.
He has drawn the inside barrier with Tim Clark aboard, so expect him to get the gun run throughout. I am expecting decent improvement from him here.
CEOWULF was brilliant last start, but his draw will mean he may have to give too much of a start to ELIYASS, and I am unsure if he can make that up.

Wide open race this one, think there might be some value.
KINTYRE has drawn the carpark but I couldn’t ignore his run in the Tramway, giving weight to a few and sitting midfield from a wide gate.
It will be interesting to see what Collett does from the draw this time out, but he drops 3kg and comes back from G2 to G3 company, it what looks a much easier race.
TOM KITTEN is the deserved favourite, but has to sit next to KINTYRE in the carpark, which is going to test the great James McDonald.

Have to be with AUTUMN GLOW once again here following her dominant display in the Group 3 Up & Coming Stakes.
James McDonald not only put the rivals to the sword, but was super soft on her over the concluding stages, and probably could have rated a lot higher/finished further in front.
1400m poses no issues, third-up should mean she is ready to rock and roll and the draw will have her in plenty of space.
AMEENA & ERNO’S CUBE look solid place chances.

I think this is FANGIRL’s race to lose again here following her gallant display in the Winx Stakes.
The wide draw will pose her no issues and the trial in between starts will have her cherry ripe for this encounter. Her biggest rival on the day will be track bias (if there is any).
ZOUGOTCHA ran out of her skin first-up, despite having favourable conditions. She maps well again.

I thought PRIVATE EYE was massive in the Concorde Stakes, giving weight to his opponents and having to chase hard on a track which was against him bias wise.
Jay Ford will have the task from barrier 12, and I really expect him to roll the dice and try to find cover, as I think it might be too big a task to sit at the rear.
Let’s not forget, second up last preparation, he was third in the Everest, so don’t underestimate what he can do.
I AM ME is the deserved favourite and maps a treat. COAL CRUSHER is massive odds and can give a sight at the price.

MORAVIA looks a brilliant bet in the ‘Get Out Stakes’.
He was way too far back in the Concorde Stakes but still managed to finish within a length of GIGA KICK, RED CARD, DRAGONSTONE and AFT CABIN.
This is great form as he steps back to BM88 quality and gets James McDonald aboard from a decent draw. This is the easiest race in some time, and only KIBOU is likely to get close to him.
Numbers: 3 – 2 – 8 – 5
