The Moonee Valley racecourse is currently rated a soft 5 but there is rain due today so could very well worsen.
Expecting the track to play similar to the last meeting.

Had no business running so well last start against the pattern and odds.
2nd up here, Shinn jumps aboard and looks extremely hard to beat.
The early price of $5.5 was a gift sent from the punting gods themselves.
Only knock is the wide barrier but i think he can slot in somewhere more positive then LS and round them up on the turn.
Hot tempo is expected so that will suit.
PROWLING is one at odds that can win after running well on the wrong part of the track.

#2 HOLYMANZ
Couldn’t believe the early price that was on offer of around $7.
Been crunched since then and can see why.
Was superb first up last start when blocked for a run but once clear really hit the line with purpose.
Gentlemen Roy who won that race has since come out and won well last start at Caulfield.
SEA WHAT I SEE is a good horse but is short enough here FU. Could suggest saving there as to not lose on the race.
But HOLYMANZ will have the fitness edge i suspect and can stalk the tempo from the nice barrier and pounce.

#6 TOO CLOSE THE SUN
DASHING DUCHESS looks good and can certainly win again.
But do i want take the short odds? No.
TOO CLOSE THE SUN ran well last start building late, hoping he can be more positive up on speed.
Mr Shinn takes the steer which is a huge positive and shows the intent from the stable i suspect.

Market should be much closer i feel between DAGGERS & POLYGLOT
POLYGLOT was huge at Bendigo beating LET’SFACEMUSIC who ran well in the Vain stakes last week at Caulfield.
At the price he has to be a bet at around $4.2

I don’t hate IMMORTAL STAR at the price.
Was pretty good here last start and looks to be screaming out for 1200m

Two i thought could run a race at a price were COMMANDER HARRY & MATRON BULLWINKEL
COMMANDER HARRY stuck on well at this track and distance last start and should improve off that.
MATRON BULLWINKEL has been running well and get’s in nicely at the weights.

Race 6: Distance: 1600m | Class: BM78 | Scheduled: 4:10pm | Expected Tempo: Average
Can run well here up to the 1600m.
If they’re making up ground on the day i can entertain a small speck.
