the old boys condition gave out last start when running behind IT’SOURTIME.
Meets him 2.5kg better here, cheeky trial leading in to keep him topped up.
Shinn sticks on, look out. Just think he rates and weights well for this.
Don’t want to lose on the race if #7 LA DANSEUSE ROUGE bobs up who i give a great chance to, so backing her also.
If playing multiples, NICOLINI VITO & RIGHT TO PARTY next best.

#2 MAOTAI
#3 MIDTOWN BOSS looks the obvious. LOVE’s the Flemo straight.
Hard to ignore, but at that price ill let it go through to the keeper.
One i thought could give a bit of cheek at a price was #2 MAOTAI.
Will most likely jump on the bunny and give them something to run down. Trials leading in have been promising so trusting the stable that he’s here to win.

Best Roughie
Race 8: 1410m – Expected Tempo: Average
#6 DEVOTED
Another pretty even crop.
Thought #6 DEVOTED’s trials have been good and now with the stable switch, the Hayes boys could have switched him on.
Nice price to find out of around $19.
#5 WINDSTORM is in with a sniff back in grade.

Value Selections
Race 1: 1410m – Expected Tempo: Average
Interesting lightly raced 3yo field.
Any one of these runners could spike and win this race. I want to look for some value in the race with so many unknowns.
One that won’t know himself back on top of the ground is #7 BIG BRUTE coming back from a G3 race in SA on the heavy deck.
Not convinced about #4 WARPARTY at the price, but last start was a great win when ridden more positive.
Benny Melham will most likely look to be more positive on #6 KHABALOV who was luckless in the straight last start, but did show great kick to the line once clear.

Race 2: 2530m – Expected Tempo: Average
Not a race i’m keen to bet into with the $1.50 favourite BERKSHIRE BREEZE. Looks an absolute treat on his way to the cup.
I certainly wouldnt be ruling out #1 POST IMPRESSIONIST who i think will make a race of it and win.
#6 LORDSHIP could be a knockout hope.

Race 3: 14100m – Expected Tempo: Average
#2 BELLE ET RICHE isn’t exactly a punters favourite but i believe she sets up nicely here.
28 days between runs might have given her the little fresh up needed.
#8 DIVINE PURPOSE was pretty solid here down the straight 2 weeks ago. Will eat up the 1400m.
Both present nicely at the odds so i am keen to nibble both and hope for a result in what is, a pretty even field.

Race 5: 1620m – Expected Tempo: Solid
Wide open race this, chances galore.
Can see the appeal with Le Zebra after that dominant win last start.
Looks like they may go at clip this race which i think will setup nicely for the swoopers.
I’m in the corner of #4 WATADEEL who loves this setup, hard fit now. .
#9 GENTIAN BLUE in another who i will be backing, comes over from NZ running well in a G1.
Up to the 1600m will be her go and she can pounce late.

Race 7: 2000m – Expected Tempo: Average
Gee this is an even bunch.
Hard to get a good gauge on the import #7 ST VINCENTS GARDEN but respecting the market.
Could very blow this crop away.
#3 LAUDING back on top of the ground is a sniff. #9 REBADGE is a great roughie at odds.

Race 9: 1200m – Expected Tempo: Solid
Another really competitive race.
Gave #3 PIONEER RIVER a great chance here back on top of the ground.
A roughie i want to have a tiny throw at the stumps here is #1 YULONG STORM who can do something at a price.
Hoping the track isn’t to firm for this to work.
