Ballarat Race Tips & Analysis for June 18, 2024

Michael Kruse 17 June 2024Last Updated: 18 June 2024

The Ballarat racecourse will be run on the synthetic surface, providing consistent track conditions.

Front-runners and on-pace runners are favoured, as they can maintain momentum and dictate the race.

Look for horses with strong early speed, those that can handle firm surfaces, and have a proven record on synthetic tracks.

Today’s Ballarat racing tips can be found below:

Best Bet

Race 5: A BM70 race over 1200m, The expected tempo for this race is strong.

#8 RUMINATE & #10 CORNER OFF

Firmly believe the winner will come from one of the two mentioned above.

Ruminate will be up on speed dictating the race, and if they over do it with the tempo predicted to be strong,

#10 Corner Off can steam home and will most likely will. Huge run last time out, going 2.7 lengths above benchmark from the 400m on a heavy deck.

Next Best Tip

Race 4: A 3YO+ BM64 race over 2100m, The expected tempo for this race is above average.

#9 TURIN

Ugly watch if you were on last start. Had 0 luck in running.

Once she did get some clean air the way she picked up ground was impressive.

She’s up in grade here but sheds a few kgs for her troubles.

She will be awfully strong late.

Best Each Way/Roughie

Race 5: A BM58 race over 1100m. The expected tempo for this race is strong.

#12 STATESWOMAN

Love the booking of Meech here. Can get Stateswomen to the front from the wide barrier and give a bit of cheek.

Quaddie Bet

Leg 1: 3, 5, 7, 9
Leg 2: 5, 7, 8, 9, 12
Leg 3: 2, 5, 8, 10
Leg 4: 1, 4, 6, 8,13
