Betting data and technology company BetMakers has partnered with the Victorian Thoroughbred Racing IMB (VTRIMB). The two organizations signed a deal under which BetMakers will incorporate a feed with Victorian horse races on its platform.

The betting data and technology business will then distribute that live racing coverage to its betting partners in Australia.

With this deal, BetMakers (ASX:BET) will also be able to broaden its distribution network and provide content to as many as 25 new distribution partners in Australia.

The First of Many Exciting Updates for BetMakers

BetMakers CEO Todd Buckingham was delighted to strike a deal with the media arm of Racing Victoria and said that making “top-quality content” available to more punters would boost the popularity of Victorian horse racing.

Buckingham added that the broadcasts of Victorian races on its platform were “the first of many exciting updates” the business will soon roll out.

He outlined the company’s vision to work with rights owners and racing bodies such as Racing Victoria and to also expand the distribution network so that they “reach more customers.”

Buckingham pointed to this latest partnership with VTRIMB as the perfect example of integration that benefits both rights holders and customers.

BetMakers’ Platform an Important Route to Market

Victoria Thoroughbred Racing IMB CEO Peter Campbell sees the BetMakers’ platform as a great way to introduce more people to Victorian horse racing.

Campbell said that the racing industry in Victoria was committed to broadening its reach and distribution and that BetMakers’ platform was “an important route to market,” especially as the racing wagering scene has “evolved rapidly” in recent years.

Campbell praised BetMakers for their dedication to producing “great technology outcomes” for customers, as well as bringing live racing broadcasts to a large and engaged consumer base.
