Last year, Darcy Parish and Zach Merrett gave a valiant effort against Adelaide, but still ended up short, highlighting Essendon’s struggle to turn possession into points against the Crows.

The Pies have a bit of a hoodoo over the Power, having cooked their goose in the last couple of meetups, including a shellacking at the ‘G last season by 71 points. With Josh Daicos in red-hot form and the Power limping in from a cliffhanger, odds are favouring a black-and-white day out.

Port’s not to be underestimated though, they’ve turned the tables more times than a DJ at a wedding. But with Collingwood’s mob revved up and the Power still patching holes, expect the Magpies to swoop in.

Tipping the Magpies to clip the Power’s wings, with the scoreboard ticking just over the 166.5 mark in what promises to be a cracker of a game.
